I’m a Kentucky-based journalist and narrative storyteller who specializes in healthcare, climate solutions, new tech in rural places, and anything that affects the ways we eat.

A Kentucky native, I traveled to Denmark as a Fulbright Scholar in food policy and worked at a biotech company as a food scientist before realizing writers were having all of the real fun.
Now a graduate of NYU’s science, health, and environmental reporting program you can find me chasing scientists, farmers, chefs and coders around Appalachia and beyond in search of good news.
